Memoirs of an Entrepreneur

This week marks my first week into the world of SME. I have finally put my hand up to join many others and venture into this space. I have given a good 40+ years into the corporate world and have decided to see how I can do as my own boss. As in any venture I know it wont be easy but God has been the catalyst in ensuring that I take that bold step into the unknow. This is a pure act of faith but I belive that I have the abilities and God has my back to ensure that I come out on top in this space. It is not easy taking that first step but I know that in time I will reap the benefits. The dream to be a business woman has been stuck with me since childhood. I would be selling little things around the house to my family and forever saving my lunch money so that I have money at the year end to spend on christmas presents. This basic revenue creation and savings culture I develop from those times. I always know that I have a business acumen so when I came to grade 12 I was tossed betwee...

They do offer discounts as well which you can get per person for $45-$49 depending otherwise normal fare is $50. Most other big attractions at the Gold Coast also use GC tickets.com .The girls were having a bit of fun saying we will be quacking along on the streets of GC and they got a big surprise when the Quackrduck actually did that when the driver honks the horn 😃😃,  The horn actual quacks so you do get a fair bit of attention as you are driving down the streets. Don't forget to wave to the locals as you bump along on the streets. The incredible Quack'rDuck, is an amphibious vehicle that travels on both land and water. Explore Surfers Paradise in style, as you travel through its famous roads and catch ...

Travel Vlog Gold Coast Australia (Day 1)

Travelling is not an expensive exercise if you plan well and stack some savings aside for your trip. There are budget places to stay at which is convenient for your purse. For my travel I used www.booking.com  to find a great 4 star rated hotel for accommodation which was within my budget. I choose the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia because of its sunny beaches and touristy attraction away from the big cities. On top of that Gold coast offers both coast and hinterland tourist attraction. Here is an abstract from goggle about Gold Coast or GC as it is affectionately referred  to; The Gold Coast is a metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia’s east coast. It's famed for its long sandy beaches, surfing spots and elaborate system of inland canals and waterways. It’s also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild. Inland, hiking trails crisscross Lamington National Park’s mountain ridges and valleys, home to rare birds and rai...

The Oasis ( An entrepreneurial dream)

Today am doing a review on the brain child of two friends. Both are highly educated, passionate and hard working Papua New Guinean woman pursuing a career in the workforce but also with an entrepreneurial mindset. They were bootstrappers selling their wares out of the boot of their vehicles, then moving onto Pom City Markets and finally owning a small shop.  It was a hobby and a side hustle to bring in  additional cash which has finally given birth to this beautiful chic shop in the SME heart of Port Moresby.  In the busy Unity Mall at Steamships compound (Waigani) there is another warehouse that lies to it's left. This building houses a couple of second hand shops at the front and as you come down the side you will see the entrance to Sed Optical. As you enter the building and look left you will see a neatly set out shop called the Oasis. Beautifully set out taking on a boho and minimalistic look. The shop sells handmade jewellery, PNG made home décor, with female and k...
