The Art of Decision Making

Do you find it difficult to make decisions in your life. We are faced with decisions everyday. Some decisions are easier to make others are quiet difficult and all decision gives you an outcome. I find that sometimes  people just shut themselves off because they don't want to make that decision. Do you sometimes find yourself shutting off because you have a difficult decision to make. Do you feel sometimes you make decisions out of fear, insecurity, doubt or worry. If we want to be precise than we can became very technical and use probability to make our choices. And some people do that they calculate every risk and options they think will happen and cross out the likely scenarios and then are able to make a choice.
Sometimes we make decisions out of stressful situations. However to be better prepared for the outcome a good decision will require a careful though process. This is my experience which may or maynot work for you but at least it can give you some perspective on how you can make your choices. When you are faced with making a big decision in life first thing is to don't rush it. Give your self a couple of days to think through, during those times you will get the response that will guide you in your choices. For me I find the answer usually comes from a conversation with friends, or a movie or something I read, maybe nature everything around you will speak to you or guide you to make the best choice. Weight out both negative and positive scenarios. Always consider those who are close to you and how your decision might affect them this also helps in making a better choice. If you really need to speak with someone then speak with those who have faced similar dilemma and find out how to deal with the situation. Pray and ask God for guidance let him lead and guide you and go with your heart. As a Christian God speaks to the heart and I believe when I have total peace in my heart then I know am making the right choice. Sometimes when we think all is working out for me something will come up that will change the whole scenario, don't panic and loose hope hold on to your choice eventually it will come back to you. Keep your cool at all times and make decisions when you are at peace and not out of frustration and panic. And remember the decisions you make today will be what becomes of your life tomorrow.

Toana Dei & Meri Blouse

On April 28 1978, the government declared that Friday should be set aside as a national dress day.  Citizens were encourage to wear their cultural wear to work or school. The day was referred to as Toana day. The thinking behind that day was to encourage cultural embracement and initiate a national wear which in time will take on its style and become the national wear for contemporary PNG.  Toana is from the motuan language 3rd widely spoken language in PNG and it means a symbol or a sign. A fitting word to signify the day. I am taking up this space again to feature one piece of unique clothing that has come to make its mark in PNG known as the Meri Blouse.Little did they envisage what the meri blouse would become to PNG woman. And meri blouse was introduce by Missionaries to help cover bare breast woman in the colonial days. Highly criticise as shapeless and without form created to hide the beautiful curvy body of Melanesian woman meri blouse has stood its time and held it's ...

Memoirs of an Entrepreneur (Pricing)

Pricing is something that most of us take for granted. Am not sure if you really think about price apart from when there is a price increase. Have you ever wondered how people price goods and services and what should be the correct way of pricing your items. If you price too high you will loose customers and if you price too low then you will not make a profit so there is a place where you need to come too rightly to price items. As a christian there is also God's pespective on pricing. The book of levitcus is where God instructed the Isrealites on how to price items 26: 14  And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:  God is very clear he does not want us to oppress another brother by putting our price too high that they struggle to buy our item and if they do they forgo other necessecities that they need in life. When you are pricing your good or service what is the first thing that comes to min...

Memoirs of an Entrepreneur (Faith)

As a christian, business owner how do we live our life as a christian and at the same time trade and do business in the community. Do we seperate God from what we do and conduct our business strictly seperated from our faith.  God is the greatest business man he incoporated business into the daily lives of the Isrealites. Today we hide God from our board rooms and put our faith away when it comes to professionalism. However I want to encourage christian Papua New Guineans to live life as a christian the same as you would in church and home and as how you would run your business. What is the secret to over coming our daily challenges in business. I would say the first and formost challenge would be how do I generate revenue? How do I bring customers to buy my goods and services. How do I make money? In my experiance the first thing is to take it to the Lord in Prayer. Before you react before you pick up your phone and speak to anyone take time to pray and when you pray listen...
