Last week we spend a day up in beautiful Sogeri which is 34-45 mins drive out of Port Moresby. The road itself is a winding steep snake road that curves itself around the corners and slowly takes you to the top. It is definitely not for the faint hearted drivers.
From the hash dry heated streets of Port Moresby to the cool mountain breeze of Sogeri it gives you a very refreshing feel and welcomes you to the beautiful Sogeri mountains. Nestle amongst the Sogeri hills down a beaten dirt track it will lead you to Koitaki Country Club.
The country club is a refreshing and nice get away from the city life. Set amongst the picturesque rolling green hills it is a sight to behold. Pay K50 and set up your tent anywhere in the field. Pay K5 for a bundle of fire wood and light a fire in the cool evenings whilst enjoying your cup of coffee/tea in the open sky. Bring a book relax read breath in the fresh air and distress yourself.
So if you come to Port Moresby and need a place to unwind take a drive up to Sogeri to Koitaki club and enjoy yourself.
